Sonic Living Partners With Custom Online Radio Service Pandora

Friday, November 21st, 2008

guest post by RICK!

I’ve been a fan social network event calendar sites like Going.com, but Jersey Oakland-based Sonic Living has been busy working on some cool features.

iTunes1

The iTunes scanner goes through your music library.

iTunes2

You can decide what bands you’re interested in seeing in concert.

iTunes3

Never miss your favorite band coming to town.

Very cool but Sonic Living took it step further and partnered with Pandora to offer concert listings to its 19 million users. Bands you discover and bookmark on Pandora now show up in the new Sonic Living-powered concert section.

Pandora2

Pandora1

So you have one less excuse to go to a Web 2.0 party instead of live performance.

ok - to balance out the cuteness of the cat video, here is a weird and grotesque interview. This has nothing to do with the interview's subject, Sarah Palin, but rather what is happening in the background during the interview. You can even watch with the sound off if you like...but you have to wonder why the producer chose that angle :: click below for the vid ::

Experimentation

Thursday, November 20th, 2008
I understand large sample sizes are key to a low sigma, but the entire sophomore class?

does it detract from it’s value?

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

alan commented on the bike/guitar hero link saying that an ad company had admitted to making the clip.

a gaming blog, gamecyte.com, responded to critics by posing this question:

"If a company produces a legitimately awesome piece of art in the vein of user generated content, does its less-than-humble origin detract from its value?"

what do you think? what does "in the vein of" mean in this context? does it mean "pretending to be"? is this like lonelygirl?

as the lines begin to blur between "reality" and "fiction", how does our perception of "intention" play into this? is this about ethics?

talk to me...
