Jesse Thorn, producer and host of the public radio show The Sound of Young America (MaximumFun.org), is organizing MaximumFunCon, an weekend long offsite gathering of creative people who want to be more awesome taking place June 12th-14th, 2009 at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center in Southern Californina.

The conference features an amazing line up of entertainment and education, including a keynote presentation by John Hodgman, plus You Look Nice Today, Jordan, Jesse GO!, Never Not Funny, Jonathan Coulton, Hard ‘N Phirm, Merlin Mann and Mark Frauenfelder & Xeni Jardin of Boing Boing, plus much more.

MaximumFunCon, Creative People Being More Awesome

The next Dorkbot SF takes place this Wednesday, September 10th at Million Fishes in San Francisco and features presentations by Carl Pisaturo (Orbit 2), Jonathan Jaffe (RIAA vs You) and Rachel McConnell (Soft Circuits).
