Ballmer gets mad

Monday, February 4th, 2008
clipped from www.theregister.co.uk

Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer threw a chair across his office and threatened to “fucking kill Google” when told a key employee was leaving to join the search giant.

According to legal documents filed late last week Ballmer reacted with fury when told Mark Lukovsky was joining Google.

Lukovsky’s statement says: “Prior to joining Google, I set up a meeting on or about November 11, 2004 with Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer to discuss my planned departure….At some point in the conversation Mr. Ballmer said: “Just tell me it’s not Google.” I told him it was Google.

At that point, Mr. Ballmer picked up a chair and threw it across the room hitting a table in his office. Mr. Ballmer then said: “Fucking Eric Schmidt is a fucking pussy. I’m going to fucking bury that guy, I have done it before, and I will do it again. I’m going to fucking kill Google.” ….

Beer

Looking for beer?
clipped from beermapping.com

Select from this list to view a brewery/brewpub map of that region.
Or head over to our brewery lookup (located here) to directly search by brewery name.

The regions were selected based on US timezones. The Eastern and Central timezones were broken up due to large numbers of breweries in the northern parts of these timezones. Hawaii and Alaska are paired with the Pacific Region.

If you would really like to see all US breweries and brewpubs (1400+) on one big map, you can still view them here. Warning: this map will load very very slowly. We recommend you use the regional maps instead.

Who’s a good dog?

This week we speak with Skip Haynes from the Laurel Canyon Animal Company, Makers of Pet CD’s guaranteed to get a reaction from your dog. We even play a few of these songs on the show, so get some headphones for your pooch!
Note: tBGR’s dog’s reactions were greatly improved with Beggin’ Strips, Carl Buddig meat & soy hotdogs. Another Note: After further LAB TESTING, {ha!} Terry’s dog Star Morgan was most-intrigued by the Bionic Genius opening theme.

Foxmarks, bookmark synchronization done right

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

I’ve been a long time user of google browser synchronization. However, recently i’ve came to the conclusion (after losing my places in several ebooks ) that it doesn’t properly handle synch’ing directories. Somehow the bookmark just plain disappeared. The main convenience of synchronization of course is multiple workstations sharing the same bookmarks. When a conflict arises, google sync doesn’t seem to have any interactive resolution available. It is simply a point of management since these products really offer the same services.

It’s been 20 minutes but various tests have shown foxmarks has better conflict resolution and provides searching bookmarks from their web. Two features that I intend to use more often now.

Check out Foxmarks if you’re fed up with google browser sync
